Brief History
The Savannah Disc Golf Association (SDGA) has been a cornerstone of the disc golf community in the Savannah, Georgia area, fostering the sport's growth and providing enthusiasts with organized events and well-maintained courses.
In 2007, George Shaw, then-president of the Savannah Disc Golf Club, highlighted the sport's appeal, noting its affordability and environmental consciousness. He described disc golf as "good, cheap fun," emphasizing that "almost all of the courses are free" and "environmentally sensitive." savannahnow.com
